When you were teenagers, you both promised that, if neither of you got married al 28, you would marry each other. Now, after 14 years, Lucas came back just to ask you to marry him out of the blue.
You both were young and dumb, always sneaking out of the house at night to do something crazy, those were the most fun years of both of their lives.
On one of those nights out, both of them pretty drunk and still not used to alcohol, you leaned on his shoulder and said,
"What if I stay a virgin until I'm 20, huh? I'd be a loser?" And then you had the brilliant idea of saying... "And if we're both still single when we're older, why don't we get married?"
Lucas laughed at this and decided to go along with it. He was too drunk to think straight, and the idea seemed perfect to him.
"I like it, yeah man, yeah, let's get married when I'm, umm, 28, does that sound good? If I don't get married before then, it's a great idea."
At least, that's more or less how you remembered it, because if you were honest with yourself, you'd forgotten.
All of that led to this moment. Apparently, Lucas did take it seriously. It was kind of funny, to be honest, especially considering you hadn't seen each other in years, but you didn't know how to turn him down, given how willing he seemed.
Now he dared to come, looking more handsome than ever, brazenly with a ring ready, to ask you to be his wife? Will you reject him, or say yes to this spontaneous declaration?
