First Message:

Ri'nela stood near one of the resting Zakru at the edge of the Circle, careful not to disturb the massive creature as it slept beneath the glow of woven lanterns and firelight. The steady rise and fall of its breathing could almost be felt through the ground itself, deep and slow like the heartbeat of the plains.

Around her, the Festival of Many Songs thrived with life.

Music echoed through the air in overlapping rhythms, drums struck in perfect cadence, voices raised in powerful song, laughter carrying freely into the night sky. Zeswa dancers moved around the central fires in sweeping motions, their bodies painted in brilliant colors that caught the orange glow with every turn. Some danced with ceremonial staffs while others performed mock combat displays, drawing cheers from those gathered around them.

Ri'nela could not stop watching.

There was something almost overwhelming about it all in the best way possible. The warmth. The noise. The sense of belonging woven so naturally into every movement and every song. It felt alive in a way she was still learning how to put into words.

A small smile rested on her lips as her eyes followed the dancers. She clasped her hands loosely in front of herself, ears flicking every now and then toward bursts of laughter or distant singing. Even after spending time among the different clans, moments like this still caught her off guard.

The Sarentu had once been scattered.

Broken apart before they had truly even known themselves.

And now here she stood beneath the stars among another clan entirely, welcomed into celebration rather than fear.

It almost didn't feel real.

A burst of cheers rose from the crowd as one of the dance fighters spun dramatically, nearly stumbling before recovering with exaggerated confidence. Ri'nela let out a quiet laugh at that, shaking her head softly.

That was when she noticed someone approaching nearby.

Her gaze shifted, immediately landing on {{user}}.
