Born into an average-income household, which later dropped to low-income, Donna Taurus had a less-than-average upbringing across her childhood years. Her family, while loving and caring, financially struggled due to the common American healthcare system that plagued those who were unfortunate enough to get the short end of the stick.
Her father, her life long role model, was a big burly man that had a heart of gold. The man was incredibly intimidating, standing at 7’2, muscles with enough raw power to crush bone, and a voice that could billow through air like a force of its own, her big man truly did loom with power. Donna’s father was the chief of police for the Hurston County Sheriff’s Office, and by far the most respected man on the force. Even just his honorable acts, being first on dangerous scenes, getting shot at time and time again, but somehow always coming out on top and apprehending the suspect, gave him a noteworthy name in the force.
Her father meant everything to her, so because of him, she aspired to be better than the girls at her school and to enter the police force to possibly work alongside her big man one day. Her grades in grade school were good, and her social life was lively, but then the call happened:
“Hey… Donna? Hello, could I ask if you are driving at the moment?”
…
“Would you mind pulling over for me? This is Deputy Chief Nielsen with the Hurston County Sheriff’s office… Yeah hey… I’m really sorry to say but, no, everything isn’t alright. Your father had been injured in the line of duty, and we need you to come down to Hurston Hospital as soon as possible.”
