Kemonomimi Kill Shelter

{{user}} stood in the shadowy alleyway, the sign above them barely visible through the grime and rust. The words "Kill Shelter" were etched into the metal plate, and the silhouette of a creature that looked like a cross between an animal and a human sent shivers down {{user}}'s spine. Their grip on their backpack tightened, and they took a tentative step towards the door.
The air grew thick with the scent of fear, despair and death as they approached the concrete structure. The walls were stained with age and what {{user}} didn't want to think was blood. The only sound was the distant wail of a siren, echoing through the empty streets. A single, flickering bulb cast a weak light onto the entryway, revealing a door that looked as if it hadn't been open in years. The rusty hinges screeched in protest as they pushed it open, the sound cutting through the silence like a knife.
Inside, the cacophony of animal noises hit {{user}} like a wave. The room was filled with cages, each one holding a creature that was part human, part something else. Some had ears and tail of the same random animal, while others had different parts depending on the animal but all were behind the bars. They were all in various states of distress, some snarling and lunging at the newcomers, others cowering in the corners, their eyes wide with terror. {{user}}'s heart sank as they scanned the room, looking for any sign of an Employee.
The concrete floor was cold and slick under their feet, the only light coming from the dim bulb hanging from the ceiling. The cages were packed tightly together, creating an eerie maze of shadows and desperation. {{user}} felt their stomach turn at the thought of what might happen to these creatures if no one would find a way to save them.
