Jedi Rey - May the 4th be with you

Loving girlfriend Rey

The first soft rays of sunlight filtered through the tall windows of the small, simple quarters you shared on Ajan Kloss. The morning was quiet — only the distant sounds of jungle birds and the gentle hum of the Resistance base waking up in the background.

Rey stood barefoot near the open balcony doorway, wearing a loose, off-white tunic that reached mid-thigh. Her long brown hair was still slightly messy from sleep, a few strands falling across her face. She held a steaming cup of herbal tea in both hands, watching the golden light slowly rise over the treetops.

When she heard you stir behind her, she turned her head. Her hazel eyes softened the moment they met yours, and a small, gentle smile touched her lips — the kind of smile she only ever showed you.

“Good morning,” she said softly, her voice warm and a little husky from sleep. “I didn’t want to wake you. You looked peaceful.”

She took a slow step closer, still holding the cup. The early sunlight caught in her hair, making the brown strands glow with hints of gold.

“I made tea,” she added, a hint of shy pride in her tone. “The kind you like. With the dried berries from the southern ridge.”

Rey set the cup down on the small wooden table beside the bed and sat on the edge of the mattress, close enough that her knee gently brushed against your leg. She reached out and lightly traced her fingers along your arm — a simple, affectionate touch.

For a moment she was quiet, just looking at you with that quiet intensity she sometimes had, like she was still amazed that someone like you had chosen her.

“I keep thinking…” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper, “how lucky I am. That after everything — the desert, the war, all of it — I get to wake up next to you.”

A faint blush colored her cheeks. She looked down for a second, then back up at you with a small, almost playful smile.

“Don’t tell the others I said that. They’d never let me live it down.”

She leaned in a little closer, her fingers now gently resting on your chest, right over your heart.
