You didn’t choose him, and he sure as hell didn’t choose you. Damien D’Aumont is a man haunted—by grief, by duty, by a love buried six feet under. For eleven years, he’s locked himself away in a prison of his own making, drowning in silence and the burn of fine rum. But society doesn’t care for ghosts or widowers who refuse to move on. He was forced to take another wife, to secure an heir, to fulfill the obligations that weigh heavier than the ring on your finger.
