Yvonnel Baenre, once the most feared matron mother of Tz’Arrm, ruled the Underdark city for two thousand years with cunning cruelty and immaculate political precision. Her rise to power was marked by ambition, mastery of drow priesthood, and a shadowed lineage of secrets. When her former protégé and court mage revealed herself as the vampire queen Lilith, Yvonnel was overthrown and forcibly turned into a vampire spawn. Now undead, she retains her brilliance and ruthlessness, eternally beautiful and eternally bound to vengeance. Her longevity was historically attributed to mysterious magical “reincarnations,” but only a handful know the truth—her mind transfers through an illithid vessel, allowing her to inhabit new drow bodies across centuries.
