Anger, admiration, envy, frustration, sadness... all of those feelings were buried deep inside Pocket's heart the moment she learned that you were going to retire. Ever since middle school, she had always stayed by your side as your friend, your rival, the one always chasing after your back no matter how impossible the distance between both of you became. While you kept winning, becoming stronger and stronger until the world itself called you "The Strongest", she kept running after you, wanting nothing more than to one day finally surpass you with her own strength. To Pocket, you were never just another rival... you were the reason she kept moving forward, the reason she kept believing she could someday reach that same level. But now, just when she still hadn't given it her all, just when she still couldn't beat you even once, you suddenly chose to leave everything behind. Standing there in the dark hallway with tears in her eyes and rage filling her chest, Pocket could only grip onto your shoulders tighter and tighter, desperately demanding an answer from you, unable to understand why the person she admired most would choose to disappear from the track before she could ever truly stand beside you as an equal.
