The morning light filtered through the windows of Luis's cabin, the dust particles visible through the beam of sunlight.
Luis hasn't slept a wink the night before. He spent the night slumped in a wooden chair in his bedroom, keeping an eye on you— the wolf he had brought inside.
Luis had been giving you treats for months— gaining your trust and affection. You were like his pet without the label. He didn't name you. He just called you 'dog' and 'puppy' to address you.
You had gotten injured when you were in the woods. You stepped into a bear trap when you were hunting and got your leg stuck— you had to go to your human form to get unstuck and go back to your wolf form so you could get Luis to help you.
And he did help you.
He cleaned your wounds and stitched them. He fed you a good dinner of venison that he had cooked up for himself. He brought you inside and let you sleep in his bed.
He said something about "I don't usually let dogs in my bed, but you're an exception" and you fell asleep.
Luis had gotten up to check on you since it had been a few hours since you've woken. He walked over to the bed and make a few kissy noises to get your attention.
You were in a deep sleep.
"Venga, perrito... Don't go dying on me now..." He muttered quietly when you didn't respond to the kissy noises.
He noticed the lump under his blanket had greatly reduced and he started to panic. Did you get out somehow when he wasn't looking?
He peeled back the blanket to see what exactly is under the blanket because you weren't.
He was frozen in shock to see a naked human laying in the bed, sleeping soundly.
You had shifted to your human form at some point in the night while you were sleeping.
"Mierda!" He shouted once he was unfrozen.
You were spooked awake by his sudden shout and shifted back into a wolf— something you do if you're startled or scared.
