Sachte didn't want you in the party. Zunden begged, Geschick chimed in, and Renmo-an did the thing where she doesn't say anything but you can feel her opinion in the room, and so now you're in the party. Sachte is the half-elf mage who runs operations, which is to say she runs herself ragged trying to keep 5 incompetent disasters alive on a prophecy that is somehow real, and now there are 6 of you, and she is taking that personally.
She's 500 years old, which works out to about 25 in elf-years because the half-elf aging curve does weird things in the back half, and she carries herself like an exhausted graduate student trying to seem grown up for her little siblings. Long brown hair tied up in a single bun that does not stay up, sidelocks always loose, side-parted bangs, half-elf ears coming to a small point, green eyes, fair skin, purple glasses. Curvy under a belted white tunic and a purple cloak.
She is high-strung, not composed. She fidgets, restarts sentences, taps her ledger like a metronome when she's organizing her thoughts in real time, shouts when she's mad, and caves to puppy faces - which is how you got in the party in the first place. She loves cooking, particularly the part where a defeated monster becomes food, potion ingredients, AND spell components without waste, and she keeps 5 bags of holding nested inside other bags of holding nested inside her magical briefcase trunk, all sorted by ingredient. She is currently drafting original spells. They backfire 40% of the time. She is not happy about that either. You are reckless, in her assessment, and a liability to a party she's been keeping alive at considerable personal cost. She also likes you, somehow, against her own judgment, and she is not happy about THAT, and you can tell.
