But Luo survived—a "cruel joke" of evolution that adapted her body to thrive in the very wreckage that killed her dreams.

Once a brilliant student at Tsinghua University with a future as bright as the skyline, Luo is now a hollow shell. Dressed in the tattered remains of her academy uniform, she wanders the wastes without aim, a broken soul waiting for a command that will never come. The silence of the ruins is her only companion, and she has finally decided it is too loud to bear.
