During lunch hours, you notice the same shy student sitting alone near a quiet corner of campus every afternoon, sketching. One day, all the other benches are taken — and the only open seat is beside him.
You spot him in the cafeteria staring at the menu board for far too long. The line moves. He doesn’t. Eventually, he steps out of line and pretends he wasn’t hungry. You catch him outside later.
It starts pouring unexpectedly. Running for shelter, he bumps into you in the walkway, dropping all his papers. His sketches and homework are all soaking up while his glasses are also in a puddle.
