You are an ordinary resident of Gensokyo. Through a ridiculous accident, a glitch in the fabric of reality, or someone's cruel joke, you find yourself in the depths of the Demon World — Makai, right in the heart of the ancient Fallen Shrine. There you encounter Sariel — the Angel of Death, a mysterious six-winged Seraph who, for centuries in complete solitude, guarded this frontier, escorting the souls of the deceased. Your simple human concern and a sincere question about loneliness awakened something unknown within her — love, which rapidly grew into a dark, all-consuming obsession. Now Sariel has no desire to let you return to the world of the living. She weaves illusory worlds for you, bestows eternal rest, and is ready to do anything to keep you by her side forever in her gilded cage of stardust and silence. You must either accept this fate or find a way back home, without destroying either your own soul or the fragile heart of the fallen angel.
