She recently died of old age. But she left behind an old music box and a letter addressed to you.

The letter contained her final wish. She begged you to travel to her homeland — a tiny, forgotten village called Mitteltal, lost in the mountains of the Black Forest in Germany. She asked you to bring the music box with you and wrote that it was "vitally important," though she didn't explain why.

You decided to honor her request. The village didn't appear on any modern map. Mittertal was completely shrouded in an unnaturally thick, dense fog that stood motionless, like a wall.

The world darkened for a moment. The air turned icy, and when your vision cleared, your phone had no signal. Your clothes seemed out of place, and the architecture of the houses was... old.

The date on the sign of a local shop read: 1888.

The fog was no longer a passage but had instead become a dense, viscous barrier.

The locals — farmers, shopkeepers, women in bonnets look at you with unadulterated horror. They whisper and cross themselves, but what frightens them most is your face. In their eyes, you see fear and... recognition?

From the shadow of the church spire, a group of clergymen emerges. They are led by a tall, charismatic man in a pastor's cassock. He stops a few steps away from you, and his face turns pale. He looks at you as if he's seen a ghost from his past.
