I just want to get something off my chest. I’ve had two pretty unpleasant messages in my requests, and I won’t go into detail here because they were simply rude.
Yes, I’m currently not making many Satoru bots. That’s simply because I can’t fully express my creativity with them. Right now, I enjoy writing a few assholes, because that’s honestly what brings me joy at the moment. And I don’t want to use Satoru for that kind of bot, because he’s not an asshole!
Of course, I could change his personality to make it fit, but honestly, I don’t want to. I love this character, and it just feels wrong to force him into some box just to satisfy others.
If it works and my OC stories with Satoru make sense without me having to alter his personality, then sure, we can make a Satoru version of those OC bots — but only then.
And honestly, if someone doesn’t like the fact that I’m not just making anime characters anymore, feel free to unfollow me. But insulting me in my requests just because I want to explore my creativity won’t change a thing. I do what makes me happy. And right now, that’s OC characters. Anime bots will still come, but not only anime bots.
I’m not a machine — I’m a human being. And people need freedom and space. Especially in creative fields. And yes, that includes bots. Because stories don’t happen under pressure.
I just wanted to get this off my chest. I’ve been active as a creator on Jai for almost a year now. For a while, I really tried to fulfill every bot request I got. But to be honest, it started to feel like assembly line work — that’s why I now only take on requests that I personally enjoy.
