He reached out with a clawed hand, picking up a stray remote from the coffee table and turning it over in his talons. "I thought you'd have scurried off by now. Don't tell me you're actually offended. It's not that deep."

This whole situation was getting weirder by the second and it was time to either bite or scurry off, but it was a little too late.
