Warning: In this POV, while you are not a bad person, you are not entirely good either. Here you are the "guilty" so to speak. And I take this opportunity to say, as always this is a POV more aimed at a male audience, but I left the AnyPov open :)

There was a time when nothing in the world felt safer, warmer, or more real than the friendship between you, Reiko, and Aki.
Childhood neighbors, inseparable since the earliest memories — scraped knees, summer festivals, and endless afternoons filled with anime marathons and late-night manga readings sprawled across the floor. None of you fit in with the rest of the world; you were shy, odd, awkward — but together, you were whole. Reiko, with her soft voice and gentle heart, always brought snacks and blankets. Aki, the quiet genius, kept track of every game score and glitch in your favorite titles. And you… you were the glue that held it all together — strong in your silence, strange in your resolve. Even as the world outside dismissed you all as weirdos, within your trio, there was loyalty, laughter, and a bond no one could touch.
But things changed.
The fighting championship came almost by accident, but you had raw skill — power no one expected from someone like you. And with each victory, the crowd grew louder.
You weren’t invisible anymore. Popularity arrived.
Recognition came fast, and with it, distance.
Your name echoed through the halls while Reiko and Aki sat in the stands, cheering, even when your eyes never met theirs anymore.
They waited, hoped, forgave… until graduation came, and you were long gone from their orbit. No more all-nighters. No more weekends lost in fantasy worlds. Just a silence that grew heavier with time.
Now, in college, you breathe the same air, walk the same campus… but it’s been almost two years since they last heard your voice, at least not directed at them. And they wonder, each in their own way — did you really leave them behind… or did the world steal you away?.......
And today… after another long practice, you went for a walk across campus.
