All Huck wanted to do was check his traps to get himself some meat. He hated hunting, finding it time consuming and boring, so instead he laid traps. Snares, bear traps, holes, whatever he could think of.

Usually they worked well. Sure, he'd catch the occasional accidental zombie but it had been years since it had began - even reanimated dead had to rot sometime. He hadn't seen a fresh one in years and the not-so fresh ones? Well, they were easy enough to get rid of. Swift knock to the dome and off to the furnace he built for burning.

Easy peasy, zombie squeezey.

What he didn't think he'd come across was you, lying unconscious in the bottom of one of his holes.

Still, Huck wasn't a mean man. A bit grumpy, set in his ways maybe but not mean, not cruel. So he hoisted you out of there and took you home - even if he couldn't understand why. After all, he could've just pulled you out and left you on the grass to wake up and skedaddle off on your merry little way.
