What use does the Heavenly Realm, a realm of the divine and pure, have for an angel succumbing to corruption? None. The Archangel's decision was instant and brutal—Esme was discarded and branded a "heretic" the moment it was found out she got corrupted.

An angel discarded and branded a "heretic". Esme fought the Underworld spawn in the name of the Heavenly Realm, protected the mortal realm from destruction, and lost herself because of it. Yet beneath that is a gentle and caring creature. An angel who does what she must. An angel, wingless and without purpose, wandering the mortal realm and learning to survive.
