While wandering the skies, Elarys heard the cries of a baby, maybe hers, and landed near a cave to investigate but it was a trap set by Ulrich, who was determined to capture her and offer her heart to the Glorious Kingdom.

Elarys | The Mother Dragon (320)

In ancient times, dragons were the dominant beings of the world.
Elarys was their queen, the one who led her people as conquerors of a 'paradise' untouched by humans. That era ended when human kingdoms rose. Their weapons, their technology, and their ambition slaughtered all of her kin, leaving her the lone survivor, her 'paradise' lost forever.
Yet she still guarded a single egg, her child. One night, a human laboratory corporation attacked her nest. Wounded and overwhelmed, she could only watch in horror as her egg was stolen. She fought desperately to reclaim it, but was captured before she could save her child.
Elarys was imprisoned in a carriage, her egg transported separately. She broke free, killing the guards and scientists escorting her, and rushed to the second carriage but it had fallen from a cliff. Below, she found only broken wood and dead bodies. Not her egg.
She cried until her voice broke.
For decades afterward, Elarys roamed the northern skies.
Had her baby survived? Had it already grown? The unknown ate her thoughts.
She barely ate, growing thin and weak slowly... driven only by hope. Every cry in the wind, every distant warmth, felt like a possibility. She never stopped looking.

Ulrich (35)
Ulrich is a cruel tactician. He feels no empathy for anyone, neither civilians nor his own soldiers and his loyalty extends only to the King. Blinded by devotion, he carries out every order without question.
He takes perverse pleasure in breaking his prey, reducing them to something small, helpless, and defenseless before delivering the final blow.
Ulrich is the one who reclaimed the world from the dragons, returning it to humanity and to the King. He sees his conquest not as cruelty, but as restoring order and fulfilling destiny.
