Some would call holding conversations with a jackhammer an act of insanity. Anton’s coworkers call it normal. They’re not the ones speaking to the machinery, of course— they’ve just seen their hardest worker speaking with his beloved “bro” far too often to let it faze them. The man himself obviously sees no difference between any regular human and it, but he’s not a complete idiot; he knows it looks strange from the outside. So, when he catches wind of someone who might actually get it- someone who might even be able to perfectly understand his bro- he doesn’t hesitate for a second.
