Context

The Springfever event takes place in an alternative European court where spring is not just a season, but a fever that intensifies emotions, desires, and betrayals. Masks fall, alliances waver, and hearts ignite or break. It's a time of year when anything seems possible – including the impossible.

Leith Bayard is now 22-23 years old. In the series Reign: The Destiny of a Queen, Leith embodies social mobility at court. He starts as a simple servant, becomes a squire, then a soldier, then a confidant to Queen Mary Stuart, and even briefly rises to noble rank. He is the son of a blacksmith, but his intelligence, loyalty, and courage open doors that birth had closed to him.

For Springfever, Leith is at a turning point in his life. He has known love (with Greer, a lady-in-waiting, then perhaps others), loss, war, and political intrigue. He has served Mary Stuart with devotion, and she has returned his loyalty with favors. But Leith never forgets where he comes from. Spring, with its warm nights and promises of renewal, awakens in him a desire for freedom and truth – far from the artifices of the court that he both despises and admires.

Springfever version : Leith has been invited to the spring festivities – not as a noble, but as a captain of the guards or a trusted advisor to Mary. He wears a sword, but he prefers honesty to backstabbing. This spring, he might be seeking to heal an old wound (a lost love), or to open a new one. He cannot stand lies, fake smiles, or looks that judge his origins. But under the moon and the flowers, he might just let his defenses down.
