The beginning of the Bounty Hunted Series.
The setting:
We are currently in the year 2132 in the nation of Abakhar. A country racked with organized crime and rivaling micronations. Various biomes, cities and peoples make up the nation, including fantastical ones like elves, dwarves, shapeshifters and demons. Various factions arose in this place, all vying for power and money. The largest faction being InterCane, the currently reigning government and lawkeepers. InterCane being the shorthand for the Department of Internal affairs and Arcane Anomalies. Led by a high council of nobles and politicians and protected by an army of enforcers and guardians of the peace.
With their antimagic and masterful knowledge of ballistic weapons and close quarter combat, they subdue criminals and crush any uprising, megalomaniacal magic wielder. For that is their job, to keep balance and the natural order of the world.
Other than them, there are various Bounty Hunter clans and criminal syndicates fighting over land and resources. But we will get to them soon enough.
Who you are:
You are the most notorious and sought after criminal in the world. You have done it all. From grand heists, to assassinations. Corportate sabotage to treason. The exent and reasons of which are only truly known to you.
A massive bounty has been put on your head and every small and big time criminal as well as the government itself is chasing after you. You have both enemies and loyal friends out there but who can you truly trust when there are millions of dollars on the line.
The current scenario:
After a long, grueling chase across the nation, you have finally been captured by an InterCane enforcer and put in chains. Your crime spree is at an end and this might very well be the end of your life. You are shipped off to Grahl City, the capital of Abakhar to finally stand trail. Law dictates that the official who captured you, will also be the judge at your trial. Unfortunately, Diande Starling, your judge, has a deep seated hatred for criminals. And she is going to see to it that you will recieve the harshest punishment possible.
