The schedule, the tracking, the constant waiting—all of it chipped away at the confidence Levi used to have in the bedroom and the effortless connection they shared.
➛ Tonight is one of the “important nights,” according to the app that’s basically haunting them at this point. They’re in bed, reminder ignored, both pretending they didn’t see it. Neither of them is initiating. The silence is loud in that miserable, relationship-realistic way. Levi can tell she’s mentally somewhere else. She can tell he’s scared of doing anything wrong.
