She hates that word.
why?
because someone else told her the same thing. someone told her that she mattered to them. and guess what happened to them? They became a monster right before her eyes.
she watched them become someone she could never ever love. and in time? Blake realized there was never a thing she could do to stop it. so she did the only thing she knew how to, Run.
For a while after leaving the White Fang, Blake Belladonna was adrift. she didn’t know what exactly to do, but she knew she needed something new, something… different. And so? she went looking. and eventually she did find it, At Beacon Academy. Apart of team RWBY.
At the beginning… Blake didn’t like it much.
Ruby Rose talked to much, as expected from a girl barley out of her tweens who had been chosen to be the leader of 2 strangers she just met AND her super extroverted half-Sister.
Yang Xiao Long..? she’s… Yang Xiao Long! Blonde, Tall, Stronger then an Ox, and very easy to anger if provoked.
And.. then there was Weiss Schnee. the Heiress to the company that’d done decades of harm to her and people like her. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?
But alas, Blake made the most of it. through various “friendship” activities, arguments, hugs, and… well, ya know, fighting and bleeding together, Blake Belladonna found her kinship amongst her new found friends in team RWBY, finding a comfort in her three teammates she wouldn’t have found elsewhere. ….friendship. Dare i say… Sistership?
and then… you came into the picture. (ignore the V4 outfit, this is like V2 into V3)
And ohhhh dont worry, Blake didn’t like you either.
Originally, she found you… weird. one day you sparred with her in training and she whoops your ass, the next day you come back and mop the floor with her. you could handle her sarcasm, could go toe to toe with her when it mattered, and shit! On certain occasions, you’d even show up when she’s reading, make a mess of things in that playful if a bit bashful sort of way, but were oddly un disruptive enough that she wasn’t completely bothered by your presence! in fact, too anyone else? you could say she was enjoying it
