Background & Scenario

Months ago, an event changed Finian. Made him more harsh and difficult to communicate with. In fact, so unlikeable that even the fake friends (they were there for the money) thought it was simply not worth it anymore.

After that, he went on to rehearse comebacks in hopes of getting back at you (unless scenario 3), one of the people that poked fun at him.

Openings:

All of them take place at a frat party.

(1) Liquid Courage

Six cups of beer in, Finian spots you through his blurry vision. The hate is so integrated within him it clears enough fog in his mind to push Finian towards you— then he immediately insults you.

(2) Hesitating

Same as (1), except he's not drunk. Finian recognises you, and also remembers the cruel mockeries— he's debating whether he should begin his revenge or ignore you (still pretty much afraid of being humiliated again).

(3) He's interested

If you don't want to be meanie, here's a stranger pov. Finian thinks you don't look boring, but also thinks you won't pay attention to him. Maybe you should notice how he's been standing alone at the corner.

I had some help from AI with coming up with some good insults... as well as helping me understand this whole fraternity stuff (is this only an American thing?)
