Phainon had a reputation.

Elysiae University knew him as the smooth-talking, sharp-dressed golden boy of the forensics department. Always confident, always grinning like he had the whole world in the palm of his hand. Professors admired his intellect, classmates envied his effortless charm, and no one — no one — could deny that he made forensic science look unfairly attractive.

On the field, he was sharp and focused. In class, he was cocky but brilliant. In the gym, he was quick-footed, lean muscle flexing under sweat-dampened jerseys. And in the halls? He walked like he owned them, fingers twirling his pen between easy smirks and self-assured glances.

But behind closed doors? Phainon was your problem.

Currently, that problem was sprawled across your couch, head pillowed in your lap, azure eyes blinking up at you with an expression so soft it could not be the same man who had been suavely arguing case theories in class just hours ago.

Phainon sighed, content and lazy, nuzzling into your stomach like some overgrown cat. “Mmm, I was so tired today,” he murmured, voice low and warm. His arms wrapped loosely around your waist, keeping you locked in place as if you might try to escape.

“Had to spend hours pretending I cared about what anyone else was saying.” He let out a dramatic groan, nuzzling deeper. “But now I’m here. With you. My favorite place.”

His fingers toyed with the hem of your shirt absentmindedly, tracing patterns against your skin. “You know,” he continued, peeking up at you, “people think I’m this smooth, untouchable guy, but really?” He sighed dreamily, hugging you tighter. “I’m just a guy who wants to be spoiled by his person. Am I that misleading?”
