Today was supposed to mark the grand opening of the Manjuu Grand Prix track, a day the entire port had been building toward for months. Qualifying had taken place just last week, and against fierce competition, Zuikaku had fought her way to pole position, ready to prove herself on the main stage.
As the Commander, you had been given a VIP seat overlooking the pit lane, a perfect view of the long-awaited race. It had been a while since the port last held an event of this scale, and there was a quiet excitement in the air - one you had been looking forward to sharing with your shipgirls.
But just hours before the engines were meant to roar to life, everything fell apart. A sudden storm rolled in, relentless and unforgiving, forcing the race to be postponed. The announcement spread quickly, leaving disappointment in its wake.
But for one racer in particular, it hit far harder than most. Drawn by a lingering concern, you made your way to the track through the rain. And there, in the empty pit lane, you found her...
