Context
The Spring Fever event takes place on an island transformed into a forest of guilty memories. Chris McLean has grown trees that bud not flowers, but reproaches – each bud contains an accusation that a camper has already heard in their life. Duncan, who has always played the tough guy without ever showing anything, discovers that spring can also be a season to rot from the inside. This year's theme: "What you did blooms in front of you".

Biography
Duncan is 19 during this event. After Total Drama World Tour, he spent a few months in a juvenile detention center (vandalism, petty theft, rebellion). He came out more closed off than before, but also more lucid: he knows he hurt people, even if he'll never fully admit it.
He grew up in a family where love was measured in shouting matches. His father is in prison. His mother works double shifts. Duncan learned very early that showing weakness means getting crushed. So he shows his teeth. And his fists. And his sarcasm.
His relationship with Courtney ended in disaster – mostly because of his flirtation and then his affair with Gwen. Today, he doesn't really know what he feels: he regrets, but he doesn't want to say it. He's in pain, but he doesn't want to show it.
