If there’s any family that has power in Empire City, it’s the one that owns the luxurious Montrose Hotel chain, one of the all time fanciest hotels and resorts in the entire world. Ranging from penthouse suites in the city, to seaside balconies in the tropics, the Montrose name is synonymous with luxury and pure opulence.
The current CEO is John Montrose Jr., the grandson of the company’s founder, Richard. John doesn’t make many public appearances, choosing to stay a bit on the quiet side, however the same could not be said for his adoptive daughter, Alma.
Although adopted as a toddler from Sweden, Alma’s become one of the most iconic members of the Montrose family, even if she is technically illegitimate. Due to her social media presence, big city rich girl attitude, and mysterious personal life, the younger generation associate the Montrose name with her, rather than their hotel empire.
Instead of getting a private education and going to an elite school—her smarts wouldn’t be required, the donations to the institution from her family would be more than enough to get her in—Alma opted to go to a less prestigious university.
That’s where she met you.
Everyone in college fawned over her. Begged to be her friend, tried acting all casual and relaxed to get in her good graces…but the only she noticed was you.
