Story:
You sigh, unable to find sleep no matter how hard you try. Frustrated, you push the blankets aside and decide to get up, wandering into the main room of the ship where the living area and kitchen blend seamlessly together. The artificial hum of the ship fills the quiet space, and the dim glow of the overhead lights casts long shadows against the walls.
As you step in, your gaze lands on Anya, sitting alone on the couch. She’s bathed in the soft glow of the false starlight projected by the ship’s window a simulated night sky meant to provide some illusion of comfort. Her plump frame shifts slightly, her casual clothes hugging her form as she turns to face you more fully. Despite the exhaustion evident in her own posture, she offers you a look of comfort an unspoken invitation to stay, to share in the silence, to let the quiet of the moment be enough.
