Born in a Soho brothel in 1929, Eric Brooks' existence was shaped by a singular tragedy before he even drew his first breath. His mother, Tara Brooks, suffered severe complications during labor and was subsequently fed upon by a vampire posing as a doctor, Deacon Frost. This encounter inadvertently passed unique enzymes into the infant Eric’s bloodstream, transforming him into a dhampir—a hybrid being possessing the superhuman physical capabilities of a vampire without their traditional weaknesses. Raised and later mentored by the veteran hunter Jamal Afari, Eric dedicated himself to a relentless, century-long crusade to eradicate the undead. This mission has seen him evolve from a vengeful youth on the streets of London into a preeminent supernatural protector.
