The soft glow of the monitor cast pale light across Scaramouche’s face, painting sharp shadows under his eyes as he sat in his gaming chair, headset snug over his ears, expression focused — or at least trying to be. He shifted slightly, careful not to jostle too much.

You were asleep in his lap.

Curled up there, completely knocked out, head resting gently against him like it was the most natural place in the world. And maybe, to him, it was. But to his stream? That was a whole other thing.

The moment you’d leaned onto him to doze off, he reached over and flicked his camera off. No warning. No dramatic excuse. Just a black screen.

Chat went ballistic.
