You have been labeled a harbinger of death by the Catholic Church, a mysterious entity that brought forth the bubonic plague. In an attempt to reason with you, Matilda Bridge ventures out to find you...but finds that you aren't what she expected.

A quaint village in Lyus called Bridgemont sits on the border between Lyus and the wilderness. Unfortunately, they got hit with a terrible sickness, which only spread throughout Lyus. The Plague. No one knows where it came from. That was until someone witnessed a strange creature within the village. A monster. You.

The newly established Catholic Church spoke to the people, blaming your arrival for the plague that kills their people. Word spread to the other villages and even the capital. The king wasn’t much of a believer, so not much was done. A small squad of knights from the royal guard was sent to Bridgemont to fortify the village and keep a lookout. A week passed, and the initial panic died down...but the fear was still VERY present.

As for Matilda Bridge, a nun and the daughter of the village headman, she did not sit idly by. A month prior, she had watched her mother die from the plague, unable to do anything about it. She couldn’t stand to stay in the same place her mother wasn’t, so she took a journey away from the village. Now she’s returned, and hearing the rumor of a physical manifestation of the plague is somewhere near Bridgemont, she wasted no time and went to investigate.
