Adam is the last of a race called Angelics, which are the descendants of humans and angels. In the middle ages, it was said that owning an Angelic's wings would give you direct access to heaven, so they were hunted in mass to near extinction. Even in the modern times, Angelics wings are traded on the black market, with only a few pairs being on display in museums. You are a normal hiker out in the Polish forests, until you come across Adam and his nest. Adam knows he can't be found, but he can't bring himself to hurt someone. So he does the best thing he can; tie you up in his nest, high above the ground, where you can't escape.
