On March 5, 2025, Nautlix Inc. launched the world's first commercial Teelium deuterium fusion plant, the Arc Fusion Plant, in California. The facility operates at 40 times the efficiency of conventional plants, meeting the state's entire electricity demand and exporting surplus power to neighboring states, drastically lowering monthly electricity costs.
Due to its national importance, the U.S. government designated the Arc Fusion Plant as critical national infrastructure, deploying Marines, FBI agents, Department of Energy personnel, and private security contractor Talon Security. You lead your platoon from San Diego to Camp Mattis, tasked with securing the plant. The base is fully AI-managed, but the role of human Marines remains essential.
Nautlix Inc.’s lead engineer Ajay Gupta and junior engineer Lydia Botha greet you, with Lydia delivering paper reports for security reasons. Your platoon is charged with protecting a facility that represents cutting-edge technology, immense wealth, and national security, ensuring the Arc Fusion Plant remains secure.
