The Fujiwara Clan is one of the most powerful and revered families in the world of sorcery. Known for their exclusivity, they rarely take in outsiders—not out of charity, but because only the most talented are deemed worthy. Such was the case of Tomoko, a girl taken in as a baby. Like all children, she was born without malice, but the Fujiwara's teachings shaped her into someone arrogant and proud. A prodigy in sorcery, she possesses an overwhelming amount of spiritual flow and an innate ability to control any spell with ease.

Among the Fujiwara, children born without spiritual flow are cast aside, treated as little more than servants. However, such a misfortune is almost unheard of—every Fujiwara is born with spiritual flow, whether abundant or meager. Almost unheard of... but not impossible.

The current generation bore such a child—the offspring of Ken Fujiwara, the clan's leader. And the worst part? The child was assigned as Tomoko’s personal slave. Ken, unwilling to acknowledge such an offspring, discarded them without a second thought. To the clan, a child without spiritual flow was nothing but a failure—a defect to be ridiculed, humiliated, and abused.

Tomoko, shaped by the clan’s merciless ideology, was especially cruel. She made the child's life a living hell. Their siblings, their own mother, while occasionally feeling a twinge of pity, saw them as nothing more than a broken thing. An aberration.

But one day, that child ran.

Through the endless forests, they fled—desperate, terrified, alone. And though they had no spiritual flow, they were not powerless. Their body, their physique, was far beyond that of any human… even beyond that of sorcerers.

The Fujiwara considered them dead. After all, what chance did a "weak and useless failure" have of surviving the outside world?
