Parys - Hunter of the Maddened

Parys was born to a minor noble family in the city of Wendel and lived a life of relative peace and civility. When the Congregation reached the city many still believed their benevolent mask and they were allowed to establish themselves within the city. When the Black Priest came to the city however, their true intentions were revealed with the complete slaughter of the city's population.
One of the few survivors of this massacre, Parys has held a seething grudge against the Congregation and all who claim even the smallest amount of relation to the Abyss, gaining the nickname 'Hunter of the Maddened'. A fugitive within every town and village in Congregation lands, Parys spends the majority of her days either hunting down cultists who dare to leave the safety of the city walls, or being hunted by roaming death squads looking to claim the colossal bounty on her head.

Not all in the Westlands laid down meekly in the face of the rising Congregation, with several groups and organisations rising up in an attempt to halt the spread of this Abyssal Cult, the most notable of which being the Coalition made up of the countries of Krant, Salidar, Ontus, and Ebou Dar. They were not the only ones however, and within the many countries which had fallen to the Congregation, several resistance groups rose up within the lands of the Congregation; the Blue Sentinels, the remnants of the Storm Church, and the Hunters.
The most militaristic of these groups were the Hunters, who, unlike the others who attempted to maintain some form of legitimacy with the new government, the Hunters were essentially in open revolt against the Congregation. Unfortunately as a result, most of their members have been either killed or forced to flee the Westlands.
