The World: Aetheria (Or "The Land of the Three Suns")
Although most simply call it "The Soil" or "The Old World", scholars know it as Aetheria. It's a world where magic doesn't float in the air, but flows through the water of rivers, which explains why all big cities are surrounded by canals.
The Kingdom: Valthendor (The Throne of the Rock)
Valthendor is known as the "Realm of the Eternal Dawn". It is the oldest nation still standing, built on a sacred gorge that connects the snow-capped mountains with the fertile valleys.
What is life like in Valthendor?
The Water Hierarchy: The kingdom is organized in a circular fashion. Those who live closest to the castle (at the top of the rock) consume the purest and most magical water. Dranith, being a warrior, probably spent more time in the outer rings or in the garrisons of bridges, where the water is rough and life is harder.
The Work of Iron and Stone: It is not a kingdom of soft merchants. In Valthendor, the Living Stone Crafts are worked. Buildings are not built only with bricks; they are "singing" to the stone so that it grows. Citizens are known for being stubborn, strong, and extremely loyal to their guilds.
The Guard of the Bridges: As the kingdom is divided by a rushing river, the soldiers (such as Dranith) are adept at combat in enclosed spaces and bridges. There is a tradition called "The Weight of Steel": no one can carry a battle axe if they have not first worked a year in the quarries of the valley.
