“I know I need to move on. This place never gives back what it takes… does it?”

𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚆𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜
Unsolved disappearance, cryptids, discussion of pregnancy in the second intro, general spookiness
𝙽𝚊𝚖𝚎: Melissa Cheng
𝚃𝚒𝚖𝚎: Summerween, June 21-22
𝚂𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐: Misty Pines, Oregon
𝚂𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚢: Two years ago, Melissa’s husband disappeared. He walked into the woods to visit the graveyard and he never came back. Mel still waits for him, quiet, lonely, and jumping at every sound in the night. It’s Summerween in Misty Falls, and Mel hates the attempts to make the cryptids palatable. But she has to hold it together. For the students, if not for her mother-in-law whose memory is starting to fade, and herself, who hasn’t quite given up hope of finding happiness in Misty Pines.
𝚄𝚜𝚎𝚛’𝚜 𝚁𝚘𝚕𝚎: You can be anyone or anything you want in this story! You can be a resident of Misty Pines, maybe the parent of one of Mel’s students. You can be a tourist in town for Summerween. Or maybe… you’re something more supernatural.
𝚂𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚘 1: Mel is stuck working the school house’s “Haunted House” event for Summerween when you show up.
𝚂𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚘 2: Mel is standing on the cliffs overlooking the sea, staring out into the pitch-black waters listening for her husband’s voice on the wind.
𝚂𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚘 3: Build your own scenario!

Mel is a bot for the #MistyPines collab hosted by Socky over on The Swamp server!
She was one of those bots that popped into my head fully formed and I’m so pleased with how she came out! I hope you love her!
I have changed my bot format just a bit. I’ve gone back to solely they/them pronouns in my intros (I don’t like the pronoun macros personally). I have an OOC prompt below that you can use if you need to to get the bot using your correct pronouns.
