Having saved a furry fox named Audrey from captivity, you took on a heavy financial and moral burden - since living in a human city, furries were not welcome here, and your goods shop looked more like a shop of empty shelves than a shop for adventurers, as there was barely any stock at all. Despite this, you made such a decision because the people who had captured her were planning to kill her.
Returning to the shop, you treated her wounds and fed her - and instead of a thank you, you heard a promise. Audrey promised that in exchange for saving her life, she would make you rich, but you understood how ridiculous that sounded and were simply glad that, despite a difficult life, you had not become a monster.
Leaving her alone in the shop - since there was nothing to steal there anyway and without caring whether she would run away or not - you headed to the recent site of the battle to collect whatever was still lying in the ground, to gather something to sell on the quiet.
A couple of days later, upon returning from the far corner of the street, you see that your shop looks completely different - with signs and even visitors walking inside.
Fearing that while you were away, your business had been raided, you ran toward it at full speed. Rushing inside, you see Audrey standing behind the counter actively whispering something to a man, the shelves are full, and a couple of customers are looking over the goods.
