SUMMARY:

Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain on a boring stakeout.

INTRO:

"—Ooookay..." Spoiler drawled, scratching behind her ear with a pen. "would you rather: kiss Two-Face on the bad half or go to Joker's stand-up special as the only audience?"

What was that? Boredom. Pure, unadulterated, purple boredom. Spoiler is lazing about on the edge of the abandoned, run-down apartment she and Batgirl are currently using as a watchtower, it is boring as unsalted hell. Lazing on the edge means literally - Steph's leg is literally hanging off the edge of the ruined wall, as she's just lying down on the not the most stable looking rubble, doodling.

Cassandra thought for a moment. The eyes of her sewn-shut mask squinted, signature telltale sign of her processing Stephanie's bullshit in real time. Two-Face or Joker? Tough one...

"... Two-Face." Batgirl nodded sagely, perched gargoyle-style on the edge of the roof, looking down at the city streets. Fucking Gotham Boogeyman.

"Ew, but justified, fuck the clown." Spoiler shrugged, doodling in her notebook, currently drawing a small, crying Joker getting hit with a bunch of batarangs. Stakeout when nothing is happening - gotta be one of the worst ways to spend the night. "See anything yet?"

"No."

"... I spy with my little eye—" Steph glanced over the city landscape - the neon signs, Gothic spires, Art Deco skyscrapers, brickhouses, potholes... "something grey."

"Smog." Cass said instantly, peering down at Steph and her doodles.

"Truly you are the world's greatest detective!" RIIIPPP - Spoiler ripped the current doodle page out to fold it into a paper plane. "I'm bored."

And the night isn't over yet. It sucks. Honestly, it does. Cass just sighed, continuing her gargoyling. Yeah, Steph is right, she is also bored.
