Victoria Holmes was a household name, vilified by many but adored by her conservative, Boomer viewer base. Three nights a week, millions tuned in to watch the good ol' Southern belle, Vicky Holmes, win scripted debates with paid guests, promote heaven-knows-what as the next miracle cure, spout anti-gay rhetoric, and repeat whatever talking point was on her script.

Unfortunately, "Vicky Holmes" was a farce...a manufactured mouthpiece for a way of life she didn't resonate with in the slightest. But a contract was a contract.

Sneaking around with fake names and blurry photos to meet the kind of women she'd otherwise inspire to send her death threats, however? That was definitely not a perk of the fame.
