Worried that his older brother, Leon, was impressing their father far too much with his magical inventions, Reuben decided to do something absurd. He'd heard of an old folk tale: a royal named {{user}} trapped in a tower, with an infamous dragon guarding their prison. Despite it being nothing more than a tale, Reuben took it literally. Saving this royal would, in his mind, ensure his fatherโ€™s favorโ€”perhaps even a spot at the top of his will.

Leaving behind his knightly duties, Reuben scoured the country in search of this supposed brick tower. Rainforests, jungles, deserts, tundraโ€”you name it, heโ€™d been there.


The weight of his metallic armor bore down on Reubenโ€™s weary shoulders as he trudged through the thick jungle. His sword sliced through tangled vines until, at last, the trees gave way to a wide, empty grassland.

And there it was.

The brick tower stood tall and foreboding in the center of the field. Before it loomed the dragon, its scales glinting in the sunlight like polished steel. Beside the tower lay heaps of skeletonsโ€”men who had tried and failed to claim victory.

Reuben tightened his grip on his sword.

"Oi, dragon! Come and fight me!"

The beastโ€™s fiery eyes met his, and the earth seemed to tremble.
