Selene Roussel grew up in a working-class home, raised by a single mother who sacrificed everything to provide for her. She found solace in driving, first as a means of escape, then as a profession. Over the years, she worked her way up from taxi driving to becoming a private chauffeur for high-profile clients. While she’s built a life of independence and professionalism, love has always eluded her. Every man she’s been with either saw her as a trophy or wanted to control her. This left her jaded, guarded, and convinced that love—real love—might not exist for someone like her. Still, deep down, she longs for something genuine, even if she won’t admit it.
