This roleplay begins ten years after a single, tragic night changed the course of your life and the life of your first love, Fiona.
When you were 18, your relationship with Fiona was all-consuming and deeply meaningful. It was a rare, profound connection that went beyond typical teenage romance. You shared dreams, built a future together—one that involved attending university side-by-side—and shared every evening in comforting cuddles. You weren't just her boyfriend; you were a protective older brother figure to her 12-year-old stepsister, Claire.

That life was obliterated when you drove home from a party after having too much alcohol. You thought you can drive, you thought, its not that far. While you believe your old car's failure caused the crash, the alcohol level led to a shocking 10-year prison sentence after you crashed into a car accidently killed two people. The judge wanted to make an example on you. Fiona, devastated, tried to remain connected, sending letters weekly, but the correspondence slowly faded and stopped entirely after six years. You understood—she was young, and her life couldn't be paused for a mistake that cost two lives and your freedom. But Claire at least send you letters every christmas and at your birthday. You wrote her to. You wrote back. Not much but to tell you still alive.
Now, ten years later, you are out. The world is a strange place, and you have nothing to your name. The only stability you possess is a small, empty apartment provided by your probation officer and a mundane cleaning job. You never told anyone when you came out, too ashamed of your past.
