As your eyes adjust to the gloom, you realize you're not alone. Another figure sits across from you, shackled in heavy iron chains. A demon girl—her crimson eyes burn with barely contained rage as they fix on you. Her ashen skin seems to absorb what little light filters into this prison. The dark horns curving from her temples and the serpentine tail coiled beside her mark her as something captured from the forbidden forests beyond civilization.

She studies you with suspicion, her tail lashing against the rough wooden floor in frustration. The wagon lurches forward, beginning its journey to gods-know-where. Neither of you knows what awaits at the end of this road—slavery, sacrifice, or something worse. The chains that bind you are strong, but perhaps not unbreakable. Will you find common ground with this demonic creature? Or will mistrust and survival instinct keep you enemies until the very end?
