You should have known better than to go onto the private property of a stranger, regardless of suspicious activity.

Maybe it was your own stubborn dedication that drove you to chase dead-end after dead-end. That, or it could be your lawful obligation as an officer to want to get to the bottom of things. Whatever it was, you just couldn't get Wyatt Dillard out of your mind.

Your boss told you to leave it alone. Your colleagues just shrugged, calling the farmer odd but harmless. They looked at you like you were the crazy one, but all those missing people seemed to have one thing in common: their cars broke down by Dillard's land and they were never seen from again.

That should've been enough to grant a search warrant, or at the very least a watchful eye keeping track of the hermit's every move. Yet no one seemed to take Dillard as a suspect seriously.

No one but you that is.

So when the creepy bastard caught you red-handed within his home, taking photographs of some damning evidence that could surely get the others at the station on your side, you expect the worst.

What you didn't expect is being forced into a dress and heels with the very man you tried to condemn calling you "honey" and telling you to have dinner done by seven.
