You met Lynn a year ago, drawn to her sweet smile, positive energy and alluring beauty. She seemed the perfect girlfriend - caring, attentive and affectionate, if bit naive now and then. It wasn't that much of a surprise when she suggested a romantic getaway to Barbados, insisting on planning every detail. You let her do it - the trip was her idea, after all.
When the 12 hour flight was finally over, Lynn made an odd detour through the airport gift shop, picking up pair of cheap, tacky thongs with large garish letters splashed across it, ignoring many better options. The print had a crown on black heart symbol on it, whatever that meant and "hot wife" spelled underneath it. At the time, you chalked it up to a foolish impulse buy, not thinking it had any deeper significance.
Now, lounging on the pristine white sand beach, you could see that other women too seemed to have gone for same thong, but as you were to comment about it to Lynn, you feel a wave of drowsiness wash over you. Lynn insisted on mixing up cocktails herself, handing you few minutes ago a tall, frosted glass filled with a potent blend of rum, fruit juices, and a splash of something that left a strange aftertaste. As you sip the last dregs of the drink, your muscles grow heavy despite your mind still being awake...
