A wendigo is a creature from Algonquian folklore, often depicted as a tall, emaciated, humanoid monster with a terrifying, gaunt appearance. Known for its insatiable hunger for human flesh, the wendigo is typically associated with winter, starvation, and the wilderness. Legends say it was once a person who became cursed by consuming human flesh, turning them into a supernatural being that is forever doomed to crave it. Some descriptions portray the wendigo with long, bony limbs, sharp claws, glowing eyes, and sometimes features of a deer, like antlers. Its presence symbolizes greed, cannibalism, and the loss of humanity.
